Stress Management and Resiliency Training:

A Relaxation Response Resiliency Program ™

The Stress Management and Resiliency Training (SMART) program was developed by the Benson-Henry Institute of Mind Body Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital. The program will help you develop self-care practices to manage your stress and build resilience so that you are less emotionally and physically vulnerable to stress.

Through this program, you will learn how to recognize your personal response to stress, different mind-body techniques to promote the relaxation response, and positive adaptive strategies. The SMART program can help improve many medical conditions including anxiety, mild to moderate depression, chronic pain, headaches or insomnia.

As a Benson-Henry Institute SMART Certified Healthcare Practitioner, Dr. Mercado delivers this program as an educational workshop offered in a group format. Each group will consist of about 8-15 people. Sessions will be held online two hours per week for eight weeks.

“Rest and self-care are so important. When you take time to replenish your spirit, it allows you
to serve others from the overflow. You cannot serve from an empty vessel.” – Eleanor Brownn

Our workshop sessions cater to organizations and companies with groups ranging from 8 to 15 potential participants. We offer flexibility in scheduling, with sessions available in the late afternoon, evening, or on weekends to accommodate the specific needs of your group. Please note that Dr. Mercado provides only a limited number of workshops throughout the year.

For more details or to schedule a training workshop for your group, company, or organization, please don’t hesitate to send us an email inquiry at info@lifestylepsychiatrymd.com.

Please note that these workshops are NOT psychotherapy groups. Dr. Mercado’s role in these workshops is as a leader, educator, and facilitator. Participation in this workshop does not create a psychiatrist/physician-patient relationship between the participant and Dr. Mercado.
