Getting Started
Do I need a referral?
No. We accept patients without a referral from their primary care physician.
What should I expect at the free 10-minute consultation?
During the free 10-minute consultation, we will briefly go over what your concerns are, and your preferences for treatment. This will be an opportunity to see if we are a good fit to work together. If we decide that our practice will be a good fit for you, we will send you instructions on how to schedule your appointment for your Psychiatric and Wellness Evaluation through CharmEHR, our patient portal. An email with the videoconference link for our appointment will be sent directly from CharmEHR.
What should I expect at the initial Psychiatric and Wellness Evaluation?
During your Psychiatric and Wellness Evaluation, we will ask you a lot of questions about your medical and psychiatric history, medications, relationships, environment, diet, spirituality and other lifestyle factors. Prior to your initial appointment, we will send you information on completing our New Patient Intake Form through our secure electronic platform, as well as other related forms to sign. It is important that you complete all paperwork prior to your first appointment.

Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance are billed at the same rate as the scheduled length of time of your visit.
You can cancel your appointment through the patient portal. Do not send SMS texts to our office number, as those will not go through.
Missed appointments are billed at the same rate as the scheduled length of time of your visit.
If you are more than 15 minutes late, we consider that a missed appointment.
Do you other charges or fees?:
Yes. Besides appointment fees, we charge modest fees for a few services:
Phone call – less than 5 minutes: no charge
Phone calls over 5 minutes, prior-authorization for medications, forms, letters, etc: Pro-rated charge based on an hourly rate of $400.
Do you take insurance? :
We are out-of-network for all insurances, so we do not take insurance. Payment is required at the time of care via credit or debit card through our secure platform. Even though we do not bill insurances directly, some health insurance policies offer out of network benefits that will allow you to request reimbursement from your insurance company for what you pay for our services. We cannot make any guarantees of insurance reimbursement so please check with your insurance company if this is an option available to you. For those with private insurance, we can provide a superbill (itemized health care receipt) at your request, for you to submit directly to your insurance company. If you plan on doing this, we recommend calling to confirm your coverage and finding out what billing codes they cover.
